Senior Service Delivery Engineer

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Engineer, you will deliver world class data protection solutions which help our customers achieve their technical and business goals. You will help to identify potential opportunities to drive improvements in our delivery process to increase productivity and time to value.

You will:

  • Provide hands-on implementation services for customers’ data protection solutions per the specifications in the Statement of Work, Scope document, Architecture Design Document or Project Manager direction

  • Provide proactive recommendations to customers for improving their use of Dell EMC Data Protection solutions to help maximize customer satisfaction with Dell EMC.

  • Provisions solutions based on standardized procedures as outlined by Dell EMC best practice documentation and stay current on technical specifications and hardware requirements of Dell/EMC software products, including new and soon to be released products

  • Successfully manages relations with customers utilizing negotiation and influencing skills to acquire the internal and external resources necessary for optimal results.

  • Seek advice or assistance from management and/or Technical Support as required during difficult customer situations. Works in conjunction with Dell EMC colleagues to ensure effective resolution of technical issues encountered during implementations

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of data protection experience in a Service Delivery role with a Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical discipline or equivalent work experience

  • Implementation experience with Dell EMC data protection products including NetWorker and either Data Domain, Avamar, Data Protection Advisor and Cyber Recovery

  • Strong customer service skills, as well as, analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills

  • Deep knowledge of cloud technologies and strong presentation skills

  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 25% of the time

Desirable Requirements

  • Proven Professional Specialist certification in NetWorker, Data Domain, Avamar, Data Protection Advisor or Cyber Recovery preferred

  • Solid understanding and experience with TCP/IP networking, virtualization and cloud technologies preferred; NetWorker and Data Domain experience in an enterprise level hyper converged environment
