Pivotal Data Background

Pivotal Data tackles the technical challenges that come with massively parallel distributed systems operating on petabytes of data across thousands of nodes. We delve into areas like query optimization, high-performance in-memory transaction and query processing, parallel and distributed execution of advanced data processing algorithms, resource management, and storage.

We are looking for talented individual to join our Pivotal Data team – people with an empiricist attitude towards data, with passion for business development with Partner, include Dell EMC and local partner.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Report to Pivotal GC Data Technical Director and work closely with GC Channel Director for execution of Pivotal GC partner strategy;

  • Package and customize Big Data solution with Partner , based on Pivotal’s data suite, including Industry Solution (FSI, Security, Retail, Manufacturing etc) \ Data Warehouse solution \ Artificial Intelligence \ Data Lake etc;

  • Train Partners and enable them for Data Product & Data Science Service Selling , help them quick start to develop data business;

  • Deliver initial 23 rounds technical presentations to partners and their customers, to demonstrate Pivotal product and service values;

  • Build good relationship, execute partner program and regularly review data products business outcome with Partner, including Dell EMC and local Partner;

  • Proactively work with partner to close Pivotal data products project pipelines, accountable for Pivotal data products bookings through partner.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Familiar with Big/Fast Data technology, such as MPP product, In-Memory Databases, Data Sciences etc;

  • Good experience on working with ISVs, prefer FSI \ manufacturing \ Retail \ Public Security industry.

  • Strong presentation \ communication \ deal closing skills;

  • Familiar with GC Big Data markets status and competition;

  • Fluent English speaking skill;

  • Channel pre-sales support experience is a plus.


  • 5+ years pre-sales or Business Development Experience

  • 23 years of software product selling experience is a plus
