Dell Firmware Test Engineer in Shanghai, China
This is an engineering position, which will have responsibility for quality assurance testing of the BIOS, firmware, and/or diagnostic software for DELLEMC storage systems. The position will be based in Shanghai, with matrix management from US.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide solutions to wide range of difficult problems.
Develop, maintain automation test framework
Develop test cases and test script for BIOS, BMC, and/or other FW elements.
Develop, test, & implement quality assurance plans & evaluate quality standards, under only very general direction.
Execute tests, analyze test results, narrow down issues, and report out
Analyze test results, pro-actively seeks solutions, and recommends corrective action.
Works independently to maintain, modify, and enhance existing quality methods and processes.
Execute good judgment to ensure the use of correct test procedures, able to design ad-hoc tests.
General knowledge and application of engineering concepts.
Hand-on experience in test automation, test cases and test framework development
Strong programming and debugging skills with Python
Possesses strong product/technology/industry knowledge.
Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems environments.
Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to ramp up quickly on SW/HW architectures, and work as a self-starter.
Some experience in C/C++ is plus.
Required Education and Experience
University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
0-3 years of industry experience in firmware/software test development
Strong working knowledge of technical English, including ability to freely converse and exchange written communication
