Senior Purchasing Analyst

Our products drive human progress. Our Purchasing team drives the progress of our supply systems. We lead strategic and operational commodity teams, while developing supplier strategy, long-range plans and the optimization of the global supply chain. Our remit includes setting delivery performance goals and implementing procurement initiatives and process improvements. We also oversee the planning and obtaining of materials, components, equipment and services for all parts of the business, including checking requisitions, developing new supply sources and ensuring best quality at best value from third parties.

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Purchasing Analyst, you will plan and obtain materials and services for all parts of the business, working with manufacturing and engineering departments on coordinating purchasing activities and maintaining inventory at planned levels.

You will:

  • Responsible for planning and obtaining materials and services for all parts of the business, managing in-bound supply to Dell’s global facilities for third parties, through managing supportability outlook interaction with supply chain planning teams.

  • Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, regional planning and supply chain team to maintain inventory at planned levels (e.g. continuity of supply).

  • Participate organizational initiatives to continue improving operational excellence.

Essential Requirements

  • Applies research, information gathering and analytical skills: Selects appropriate alternatives from defined options/ Collects required documentation; verifies conformance of data with standards/ Assesses accuracy of detailed information/ Tracks, maintains and produces regular and ad hoc reports.

  • Focused on learning the key aspects and duties of the job being performed: Strong willingness of learning/ Open minded for individual improvement opportunities.

  • Good communication, fluent in both written and oral English.

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of relevant working experience, or Master’s degree with 1-2 years of working experience

  • Knowledge of basic principles, methods, technologies and practices of supply chain field as a plus.
