Software Test Engineer

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world. What you’ll achieve

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing manufacturing diagnostics software for platforms, peripherals and state-of-the-art software engineering methodologies. You will Participates in the preparation, review, and analysis of software requirements and specifications.

You will:

  • Participates in the creation of design, functional, technical, and/or user documentation, as needed. Develop, test, and integrate code for new or existing software. Provide sustaining or maintenance support to existing software. Maintain source code revision control. Clearly communicate project issues and status. Provide constructive and responsive customer service to business partners. Accurately log project schedule, defect, and other data into the appropriate databases.

  • Prepares, reviews, and analyzes software requirements and specifications. Prepare written specifications from verbal requirements for tasks of mid-level complexity.

  • Use defined software lifecycle methodologies.

  • Review and implement test strategies for software products. Insure source code and file revision control for projects.

  • Analyze and prepare trend reports on quality metrics. Participate in improving product quality through process and procedure improvements.

Essential Requirements

  • The position requires familiarity with a wide array of PC technologies, including basic Intel x86 architecture, iAMT, RAID, uEFI and BIOS.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information technology.

  • 3+ years of experience in job offered or 3+ years of experience as a Programmer or Systems Engineer.

  • Demonstrated experience with DOS batch, Perl, Python scripting and C++ required.
