Product Marketing and Operations Consultant
This is a global and senior role with high visibility and high impact to the business. We are looking for an experienced product marketing professional who possess great initiatives with ‘can do’ attitude and possess PC industry knowledge. Knowledge of Notebook Docking is an advantage. The candidate must have passion and pride in his/her work and be able to lead virtual team to discuss various issues such as demand supply, product roadmap, operations, competition and quality and provide sound recommendation.
Partners with various functions within product group and finance organizations to build product family demand plans that support P&L. Develops specific marketing plans and activities for specific products and segments to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena. Manages new product transition to minimize supply shortages and E&O
Partner with the regions to build demand generation plan. Utilizes product knowledge to create and manage product launch and transition plans. Manages product demand plan throughout entire product and customer lifecycle. Manages demand plan to prevent excess lead times as well as shortage/excess production levels. Identifies, evaluates and recommends marketing opportunities consistent with product line objectives. Analyzes gaps to plan and evaluates impact to financial targets.
Provides operational support through varied informational processing activities that supports a specific business need. Administers programs, projects and processes specific to the operating unit served.
Operates autonomously and be inclusive in the approach.
Generates ideas, validates assumptions, performs analysis to improve the overall business
Prepares and executes presentation for senior management team.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or MBA with at least 8 years of Product Marketing experience in computer or peripherals industry, preferably in Commercial Notebook
Must be able to communicate effectively
Ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel, and meet constantly changing timelines
Ability to influence other members of the core team to drive key business objectives
Strong business acumen – stay abreast of industry developments, keep an eye on business pulse
Strong written communications and presentation skills - work across various segments and geographic regions to effectively communicate regional requirements and/or product positioning
Challenges himself and team to constantly look for new approaches and look for creative idea for improvement.
Strong leadership and influence skills across matrix organization
