What you’ll achieve

Dell Technologies Cloud empowers customers to thrive by breaking down multi-cloud complexity across public, private and edge clouds. We help customers reach new levels of business agility, reliability and control using a simplified and consistent approach with Cloud solutions tailored to meet their needs. As a Cloud Software Architect, you will be responsible for leading and participating in creating new and reusable architectures for current and new software product categories. You will be part of a team that will design, develop and deliver a microservices based cloud software solution on a service-mesh using modern orchestration technologies.

You will:

  • Lead and participate in ideation and concept design, provide strategic direction to the planning, design, and architecture of high-quality, complex software systems

  • Work with Product Management to define required and nice-to-have features for early product architectures

  • Evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability, and ensure project completion

  • Enable others through sharing knowledge and mentoring, Prototype testing, troubleshooting and design validation & participate in team investigations

  • Create and maintain required documentation including specifications, review and analyze new technologies and summarize results for presentation to technical and non-technical audiences

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree - BS CE/EE/CS with minimum of 10 years of software design experience including the creation of new concepts and architectures

  • Understanding of cloud technology trends, containerized runtime environments (e.g., OpenShift, K8S) and microservice application architectures. Understanding of public cloud platform architectures, and hybrid cloud architectures and concepts

  • Deep understanding of product architecture, components, and integration points. Experience with complex system design and deployment, inclusive of: runtime ecosystems, storage systems, and networking

  • Experience in early product concepts and architecture development through prototyping, evaluation of new designs from Dell, Dell partners, and ODMs. Experience with networking architecture

  • Solid understanding of security elements with enterprise class computer systems. Ability to create and analyze architectural and product specifications with strong project development, program management, and organization skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Master's Degree -MS CE/EE/CS

  • Programming skills
