Dell Converged Platforms Sales Specialist (Enterprise) in Sydney, Australia

This position will work collaboratively with the Dell EMC Enterprise team in NSW, driving revenue through the acquisition of new accounts, maintaining and expanding existing accounts and driving IT transformation. The role has a clear mandate to grow Converged & Hyper-Converged market share and to partner proactively with the other specialty teams across Software Defined, DPS, MIT, GCN, Isilon, Professional Services.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and highly motivated sales professional who is adept at outcome based selling across a broad customer base. They will be required to challenge customers and drive digital and IT transformation through the adoption of Converged and Hyper-Converged solutions. The ability to relate transformation to derived business value will be crucial to the ongoing success of this role. They should have a history of delivering and exceeding sales quota and possess a strong desire to work as a critical member of a winning team!

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales quota through new account acquisitions and managing existing accounts

  • Work cross-functionally driving collaboration with other business units

  • Work with enabling internal sales personnel and external partners in transform to business outcome conversations

  • Build customer champions and develop relationships with key decision makers, influencers and partners

  • Work together with channels/marketing team to manage effective sales campaigns and develop/manage reseller channels

  • Technologist – True Sales/SE hybrid. Comfortable delivering the technical and business value proposition to infrastructure and application owners. Executes on a “divide and conquer” go to market with a large virtual team

  • Focused on driving activity and exceeding activity goals. Prioritizes Under Penetrated accounts.

  • Competitive / Passionate - demonstrates passion and energy around the journey to digital transformation

  • · Exceptional Presenter – Ability to clearly and passionately articulate the Build to Buy value proposition to internal and external customers

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5 years + relevant direct sales experience with proven track record of over-quota achievement and demonstrated career stability in an enterprise sales environment.

  • Track record of driving behavioral change within an organisation

· Excellent people, written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to influence, mentor and enable others to achieve results.

· Understanding of applications (Oracle, SQL, SAP etc)

· Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

· Ability to work effectively with senior management.

· Exhibits confident and proactive behavior.
