It’s hard to put a price on driving human progress, but when you’re operating in a competitive business environment, you need innovative pricing strategies. Our Pricing team within Sales Operations is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating these strategies. We conduct research and competitive pricing analysis and monitor the ongoing business environment to ensure Dell maintains a competitive market position.

Key Responsibilities

As the Pricing Consultant, you will work within the APJ Cost of Competency (CoC) Pricing team to work on end to end pricing for the Client Solutions Group. You will work closely with the Client Solutions team, Finance, Sales, Sales Operations, COC leadership and external consultants. You will be responsible for setting the optimal price guidance for a range of products. Starting from analysis of historical data, you will apply your market knowledge and business acumen to create pricing plans and align these with multiple stakeholders. We are searching for distinctive team members who possess the following skills and experience:

  • Strong experience with advanced Excel modeling / functions and business analysis, statistical modeling experience preferred

  • Outstanding business acumen, and ability to link impact of modeling and pricing decisions to both business performance and sales behavior

  • Ability to put historical data and analysis outcome in context, determine relevance to current business situation and required outcome, and adjust guidance accordingly

  • Experience with data collection within Dell preferred

  • Comfortable to work with data ambiguity/gaps, able to find solutions for these

  • Proven ability to influence key stakeholders and successfully drive acceptance of pricing guidance within extended regional teams, including sales and finance teams

  • Ability to work independently with virtual teams, and developing collaborative relationships within the Pricing transformation team

  • Strong commitment to excellence and personal and professional growth

  • Previous pricing experience preferred

Essential Requirements

  • +7 years marketing, sales or finance, preferably with pricing experience

  • Strong analytical and excel ability, preferable with statistical analysis experience

  • Comfortable working with and resolving ambiguity, and adapting to changing business needs

  • Ability to work independently with virtual teams

  • Good verbal and written communication and influencing skills

  • High accountability, drive for a results

  • Ability to manage time and prioritize effectively.
