Mechanical Engineer Intern

Our Mechanical Engineering team delivers the development of innovative and compliant mechanical design solutions, as well as cross-functional interfaces for desktop, portable and server computer systems and peripherals. Our team conducts the feasibility studies and testing of mechanical products, instruments, subassemblies and packaging for new and existing products – and then oversees the introduction of design changes to the manufacturing organizations.

What you’ll achieve

As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will design, document and functionally validate mechanical components and assemblies, as well as to participate in engineering tests to validate the robustness and proper performance of new products.

You will:

  • Exercise moderate knowledge of engineering technology and skills with engineering tools and Ensure deliverables are met per program schedules

  • Provide constructive feedback on project technical discussion and keep management informed of key technical and schedule related risks and issues

  • Designs, documents and monitors the validation and qualification of components and assemblies with moderate supervision

  • present all analysis and critical findings in concise presentations to team members and management

  • Interfaces with suppliers, electrical engineering, manufacturing, quality, tooling engineering and other development groups to ensure the successful development and launch of new products

Essential Requirements

  • Having highly interests in Mechanical System Design in IT industry, with working experience in Engineering field like Mechanical Design, Thermal, Reliability would be a plus

  • Mechanical aptitude for interpretation of mechanical drawing specifications, experience of using CAD or CFD/FEA tools is preferred

  • Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing-driven design issues

  • Ability to read and understand technical data sheets

  • Strong communication/presentation skills, fluency in English

Desirable Requirements

  • Students who hold active student identity throughout the whole internship program and have strong intention to start to work right after graduation

  • Students who has enrolled in Bachelor program in Mechanical, Thermal or Automation Control engineering
