Electrical Senior Principal Engineer
Our Electrical Engineering team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing & the debugging and validation of layouts or routes to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. We work closely with designers, cross-functional teams within Dell Technologies and suppliers to make sure electronic designs meet a range of requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality and quality, as well as industry standards.

What you’ll achieve
As an Electrical Senior Principal Engineer , you will be responsible for Commercial product electrical system design and development. You will work with Dell internal cross functional teams on requirements and alignment, meanwhile work with ODM on project execution and compliances, driving design review, issue resolutions, and performance optimization to deliver quality on time.
Drives system architecture definition as an influencer for assigned program, and ensures consistency/compatibility with other products (both new/legacy) as necessary
Drive ODM design reviews to develop/validate prototypes and corresponding issue resolutions
Lead assigned platforms electrical design peer reviews as well as supporting other platform reviews
Invest time on patent development and innovation initiatives
As a senior principle engineer role, you must have end state thinking, absolute engineering rigor, business agility, intellectual curiosity, being supportive to the team and winning together

12+ years of related experience in a professional role with electrical engineering Bachelor’s degree; or 10+ years with relevant engineering Master’s degree.
Advanced proficiency in reading and understanding specifications, data sheets and other technical documents
Advanced ability to write and analyze requirements, functional specifications, design specifications, tech plans and documentation. Advanced ability to identify potential product weakness, and be able to provide design guidance and recommendations for improvements to subsequent redesigns
Advanced proficiency with electrical simulation tools; understanding of the different tools available for simulation
Advanced knowledge of analog and digital circuit theory and principles. Advanced understanding of appropriate technologies, vendor products and competitor's offerings
Laptop/Notebook architecture and system design experiences
Proficiency in English
