Firmware Principal BIOS Engineer
As a BIOS software engineer for Dell Networks, you will work on products that enable Dell to deliver sophisticated networking solutions. Your BIOS software will run on a variety of network platforms, both existing and newly designed. This position will technically challenge you, but working with your colleagues and other groups, you will be successful in delivering quality software to internal and external customers on schedule.

What you’ll achieve
Responsible for the design and development of BIOS using a range of applicable technologies (e.g., programming languages, compilers, assemblers, debuggers, ITP's, Scopes, Logic Analyzers and other tools) and state-of-the-art software engineering methodologies. Work closely with ODM partners and a team of software engineers to deliver a high quality BIOS for use in Dell's server product line. Participate in product development in all stages from planning and design to development and testing.
Work closely with ODM vendors to develop BIOS and system in accordance with Dell branding specifications.
Responsible for the design and architecture of key management features for BIOS and system.
Review test strategies for BIOS and device (Monitors, dongles, keyboards, mouse)
Review and coordinate testing of BIOS splash screens and SMBIOS strings.
Create Software packages for customers.

At least 8+ years of experience with Bachelor of electronics engineering or equivalent or at least 6+ years of experience with master of electronics engineering or equivalent.
Project experience with a 3-5-member team guiding the team in day-day software development activities
Strong experience with development in Embedded Linux and open source libraries/applications
Strong working experience with boot loader for x86 and proficiency in C (must)
Strong experience with low-level firmware or device drivers
Strong knowledge in UEFI, IPMI, SMBIOS specifications.
Experience with BIOS update installers and TPM architectures and support.
Driving projects successfully from inception to production, contributing to technical and behavioral definition during all product phases
Candidates should enjoy working in a fast moving, team-oriented environment. Being comfortable as the single point of contact for key technologies
