Mechanical Engineering leads and delivers the development of innovative and compliant mechanical design solutions, as well as cross-functional interfaces for desktop, portable and server computer systems and peripherals. Our team conducts the analysis, feasibility studies and testing of mechanical products, instruments, subassemblies and packaging for new and existing products – and then oversees the introduction of design changes to the manufacturing organizations. Responsible for the design and development activities associated with systems, equipment and packaging. Conducts feasibility studies and coordinates validation testing on new and modified designs. Develops and/or drives the innovative mechanical design solutions for server computer systems.
Responsible for all mechanical development activities.
Uses or directs the use of state-of-the-art CAD (c omputer aided - design ) and analysis tools to create mechanical designs for mass production.
Develops or participates in the development of project plans including schedule, budget, product cost and Phase review process (PRP)
Designs, documents and monitors the validation and qualification of components and assemblies while potentially leading the efforts of others in these areas
Works with minimal supervision on complex efforts involving mechanical development of components and subsystems of devices
10+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Advanced mechanical aptitude for interpretation of mechanical drawing specifications
Advanced knowledge and understanding of manufacturing design issues
Advanced ability to analyze options for critical design elements and features, and determines optimum selection
- Master’s degrees with telecom industry experiences are preferred
