Commodity Management within Materials and Procurement develops and implements plans to support forecasted needs for suppliers or commodities. We use our in-depth knowledge of foreign and domestic markets to negotiate supplier agreements and contracts with optimum pricing and terms. We also harness our understanding of commodity qualities, transportation options, risk management and supply chain evaluation models to develop optimal commodity management strategies.

What you’ll achieve
As a Packaging Global Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for developing Packaging sourcing strategies and recommendations, making improvements to existing sourcing arrangements.
Also, is responsible for global Packaging supplier price negotiations/contracting.
Drives Dell and suppliers to develop process improvements to maximize asset velocity and to reduce Dell's total cost of ownership.
Manages their specific commodity area as a business, with responsibility for improving quality, cost, availability, technology/ Time to Volume, and service.
Know packaging is NOT just packaging, it’s part of something YOU could change our daily life as sustainability is key initiative to change the world
Also, implements Dell's strategic procurement initiatives with their suppliers to improve Dell and supplier processes to achieve these goals. Drive annual saving and meet target

Minimum: Bachelor Degree Preferred: MBA, operations related master degree. Experience: with 713 years industry experience in procurement/High Tech or Packaging company
Strong engagement and team building skills and the ability to organize a high performance global commodity team. Skilled at influencing others (at different levels of management)
Advanced strategic planning skills. Program/project management skills and the ability to gain respect of cross functional organization
Advanced understanding of current trends in specific commodity industries Strong analytical thinking, advanced excel, problem solving skills and ability to consider complex sourcing decisions
Supplier management and Risk management skills Capacity planning, and Component level supply chain analysis skills. Contract development and negotiation skills
- Materials requirements planning skills. Price/cost and market research skills. Financial analysis skills
