Product Development Management is a fast-paced environment where innovative thinking is prized. Our team focuses on the delivery of products or computer-based systems for external customers. We lead and deliver the entire lifecycle from product definition and planning through to production and release. We also oversee modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line. And to make the whole process run smoothly and seamlessly, we’re experts in project management, from initiation through to delivery, and liaise with other departments on technical matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Development Manager is responsible for leading the extended engineering team and working with the cross functional core teams to develop and introduce products and solutions to our customers

  • Responsible for the Engineering interface to the Core Team, interacting with Marketing, Finance, Services, Quality, Factory Operations, Procurement, and Program Management to ensure on time delivery, continuous shipment, and best program quality.

  • Directs the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the group.

  • Leverages technical skills in driving the team toward the appropriate design of the customer technology solution.

  • Manages major risks and issues through effective contingency planning and proper escalation

  • Drives the initial triage, debug, and resolution of engineering defects while providing daily direction and tasking of a team of system engineers

Essential Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields

  • 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Advanced technology/engineering skills relating to design, test and quality

  • Proven track record with ability to lead effective teams in complex and cross functional environments as well as working with global suppliers to meet project goals.

  • Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment, delivers on commitments

  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with the ability to present clear and concise information to team
