Server Compliance Engineering Manager

What you’ll achieve

As a Server Compliance Engineering Manager , you will be responsible for Leader of a team of Enterprise Regulatory Engineers, focused on delivery of compliant Servers, Storage and Networking products.

You will:

  • Manages team responsible for implementation of applicable regulations, standards and global market requirements for: electromagnetic compatibility, energy, acoustics, safety, security, accessibility, and/or environmental features relevant to design and fulfillment of Products/Solutions.

  • Engages teams that identify regulatory and market access requirements; influence/create regulations & standards; and provide End-to-End (E2E) Product Life Cycle management solutions to meet our global Regulatory Country Ship to List (CStL).

  • Provides guidance to Dell design teams, Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), 3rd Party Labs, Suppliers and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners in resolving issues that may arise during the review and evaluation of Dell platform solutions by the various regulatory agencies.

  • Manages teams that assure all Dell platforms and solutions are compliant with worldwide regulatory emissions, safety and environmental regulatory agency requirements, specifications and policies.

  • Manages teams that prepare schedules, statements of work and functional plans necessary to obtain required regulatory approvals for platform. Manages teams that work with various Dell & ODM factory regulatory teams and variations (Non-Compliances), as needed, to prevent factory shutdowns. Manages teams that work with regulatory investigations to review and analyze equipment that has failed in the field and may have safety implications. Works with Dell legal department, as needed, in performing analysis on field incidents, and preparing statements and recommendations that may be provided to Dell customers and/or Government Agencies.

Essential Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in global product compliance requirements (EMI/ESD/Product Safety/Wireless/Energy)

  • Strong communication and problem solving skills

  • Bachelor of science degree

  • Prior people management experience

  • Understanding of Dell Technologies server product portfolio
