Server Senior Thermal Engineer
Mechanical Engineering leads and delivers the development of innovative and compliant mechanical design solutions, as well as cross-functional interfaces for desktop, portable and server computer systems and peripherals. Our team conducts the analysis, feasibility studies and testing of mechanical products, instruments, subassemblies and packaging for new and existing products – and then oversees the introduction of design changes to the manufacturing organizations.

What you’ll achieve
Provide thermal technical leadership to develop total system thermal solution in Infrastructure Solutions Group organization for Telcom Server systems and component level thermal solution development and implementation. Work with ODM partners, suppliers, advanced engineering and globally functional teams such as mechanical, electrical, power and software to support End-to-End solution thermal design, which is from concept to production aligning with Dell Technologies advantage. Conduct and navigate thermal requirements with suppliers through leading investigation, assessment and direction to meet requirement and goal. Perform engineering capability on thermal solutions developing, issue root cause analysis and proposing win-win solution. Proficient with CAE/CFD utility, simulations, prototypes experiment to assess comprehensive solution for implementation and qualification in total as total system level thermal solution perspective. Besides, demonstrate leadership and lead a matrix support cross function team as required.
System Thermal Development & Implementation: Align with front end concept architecture teams to implement total solution of system level ingredients. This includes to understand different product feature and segment requirement associated with what thermal solution deployment to meet product feature goals.
Thermal Optimization: Optimize thermal solution from total system level perspective.
Alignment and collaboration with cross functional peer groups: Align with ME, Power, EE, FW, SE and cross team on solution ingredients strategy and map ingredients to portfolio platforms.
Leadership: Project thermal development leadership for accountable responsibility.
Other activities based on available bandwidth: Lead internal process improvement initiatives.
