Senior Manager, Software and BIOS Engineering

What you’ll achieve
Lead/manage a team of system BIOS firmware developers and system engineers to deliver best in class features on Dell commercial and consumer client products. Responsible for system BIOS executions for multiple line of Dell PC client products. Work with cross functional teams to ensure platform delivery. Track and drive implementation to meet product schedules and commitments. Lead the team to provide innovative solutions to complex problems, and communicates progress toward project/program goals.
-Proactive engagements with vendors/partners and cross functional teams on next generation solutions. Drive Firmware based innovations
-Effectively communicate with executives on the topics of SW/FW features, produce high-quality written and verbal reports, presentations, recommendations.
-Lead the implementation of SW development life cycles across client product groups.
-Provide oversight of resources, budgets, projects, and programs
-Drive and support the implementation of the strategy with the team
-Manage the hiring, staffing and maintaining of a diverse and effective workforce
-Responsible for career development/planning, performance and pay discussions of team members.
-Manage the relationship outside of software organization, work with cross functional groups quality, marketing, sales, platform HW teams.

-Bachelor's/MS degree in computer/electrical engineering, computer science, or related discipline.
-Minimum of 3 years of experience leading engineering development teams and minimum of 10 years of hands on experience on Firmware and/or UEFI BIOS development.
Technical problem solving skills / debug capabilities
Low level programming capability - system/motherboard/device/chipset level
Familiarity with higher level programming (apps / tools). Agile software development experience; CI/CD/Test automation experience
-Past leadership experience in managing SW/FW development or system engineering team of 10+ members.
-Strong understanding of PC architecture/BIOS and Microsoft Windows and security features
