National Client Technologist - Dell Cloud Client Workspaces & Endpoint Devices (Wyse/Thin Client)
Our Client Technologists play an essential role in the development and solutioning of technologies that drive human progress. Using our in-depth product knowledge, we provide pre-sales technical expertise for the development and implementation of complex products, applications and solutions. We are relied upon to deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to sales staff and customers and provide technical input into bid proposals. We also assess the potential of products to meet customer needs.

What you’ll achieve
As a National Client Technologist covering the Dell Cloud Client Workspace & Endpoint portfolio, you will provide presales technical and industry expertise for the development and sale of this portfolio of products and ecosystem items. This may include providing technical input into bid proposals, projects and technical documents within the sales process. You will have the opportunity to leverage your industry experience and in-depth knowledge of the thin client market (including competitive insights) to help our sales teams win Dell Clund Client Workspace solution opportunities, resulting in Dell thin client market share growth and leadership. You will partner with our Dell sales, client technologists, and product development teams to present and position the relevant Dell Cloud Client Workspace solutions, helping to solve our customers' business challenges by positioning the right technology solutions for their workloads. These conversations will include everything from current industry and technology trends to competitive insights to the impacts of the current digital workforce transformation. Your expertise is critical in helping our customers better understand our Dell thin client solutions, while resolving technical objections and sharing Dell's vision for the future are key deliverables that result in a win-win for both the customer and Dell.
Additionally, through our interactions with customers and sales teams, the National Client Technologist for Cloud Client Workspaces will work collaboratively with the client technologist team to gain valuable insights into current and future customer needs. With these insights gained, you will work proactively with the Dell Cloud Client Workspace product development (PG) teams, sharing these insights and collaborating on ideas to influence future product offerings that meet/exceed the needs of our customers.
• Present technology-related materials to external customers and help with technical aspects of featured products
• Provide subject matter expertise to sales teams along with fellow client technologists
• Act as both technical and business expert to drive relevant training and related sales enablement activities.
Keys to success will include:
Building/maintaining cross-organizational relationships with key stakeholder teams (Sales, Product Development, Product/Field Marketing)
Sales enablement through sharing (force multiplier) of this subject matter expertise with your sales and technologist counterparts
Maintaining subject matter expertise and overall industry knowledge within the Thin Client business

5 to 7 years of related experiences in using, selling, positioning, procuring, or developing thin client products + ecosystem.
Deep subject matter expertise, industry knowledge, and understanding of market trends in the Cloud Client Workspace/Thin Client industry, as evidenced in the following traits:
Customer Acumen - ability to effectively communicate (listen & present) with customers at various levels (c-suite, procurement, individual business unit leadership, etc.) on their technology needs
Technical Acumen - understanding of current technology trends affecting customers' client solutions needs and ability to apply the correct Dell solutions to solve the customers' IT needs
Sales Acumen - ongoing partnership with your sales counterparts, enabling them to position the correct solutions through product training, competitive insights, and overall product positioning.
7+ years IT industry experience (IT Procurement, IT Vendor Management, Product Development)
Undergraduate degree required - IT experience considered in lieu of degree
Sales experience preferred
Strong level of Dell solutions and technical knowledge
Experience working with sales and external customers in different geographies
