Demand Planner for Americas Server Supply Chain Planning

You will be responsible for creating the forecasts that are leveraged to get the right parts to the right place at the right time in order to help Dell operate it's world class Server supply chain in a cost effective and competitive way while meeting our customers' needs. Work with Sales Planning, Marketing, Production Planning, and Procurement as the primary translation point between the upstream sales planning and the downstream supply chain execution and be a part of developing and implementing our ongoing digital transformation initiatives that will position the Server supply chain to remain world class.


  • Create product and/or component forecasts that drive production and/or procurement decisions

  • Set lead times for components that drive the product lead times for customers

  • Partner internally and across functions to create and implement solutions to complex challenges across strategic initiatives, forward planning and tactical execution of the business

  • Executes demand shaping activities with sales segments during times of supply imbalances or when required to meet a shift in the regional marketing or financial plans.

  • Influences material allocation decisions and translates material allocation to customer commitments on supportability and lead-times


  • 3+ years of related commodity, procurement, demand and/or production planning experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 2+ years with a Master’s degree

  • Analytics and analytical modeling experience

  • Demonstrated work experience in Commodity planning, Procurement , Sales planning and/or Production planning or high level problem solving environment

  • Effective influencing, communications and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated organizational ability


  • Work experience in technology, semi-conductor industry
