As the APEX Engineering Chief of Staff, you will partner closely with the APEX Engineering leadership team to influence and manage projects/processes that drive improvement across the organization.

In this role, you will…

  • Build and maintain effective, influential partnerships with APEX Engineering leadership, key cross-functional leaders, and other strategically aligned teams

  • Support the SVP of APEX Engineering by helping prepare for key internal and external meetings, follow up from previous meetings, and drive closure in upcoming meetings

  • Facilitate the Business Management System & manage key meetings – build agenda, identify/prepare speakers, drive the meeting, capture minutes, follow up on action items, etc.

  • Evaluate & implement best practices that ensure we are achieving previously defined goals

  • Influence and manage strategic initiatives across the leadership team (ie: Tell Dell, annual planning, team building, etc) to ensure a cohesive, team-oriented approach to deliverables

  • Oversee delivery of organizational operations (ie. space planning, awards, etc)

  • Drive and recommend opportunities to streamline and improve operational efficiency & effectiveness

DESIRED CAPABILITIES/ EXPERIENCE

  • Understanding of Dell’s processes and ways of getting work done at Dell

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels within the organization

  • Ability to deal with large cross-functional teams and ambiguous situations

  • Proven ability to identify complex problems, drive analysis to understand root causes, and propose solutions

  • Track record of execution, focus, and ability to manage cross-functional projects

  • Aptitude for executive / strategic planning – can drive and communicate the bigger picture and how organizational and finance KPIs enable the business

  • Strong organizational & program management skills; ability to multi-task, take action without all of the answers and self-prioritize work based on fast-paced deadlines

  • Typically requires 12+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree
