Customer/Technical Training Advisor

What you’ll achieve

Education Services Learning Design and Development team develops learning content for all of Dell’s products to help our internal team members, business partners and external customers exceed in their roles and use the products to their fullest extent.

As a Customer /Technical Training Advisor: you will be responsible for the design and development of training courses.

You will: Interact with team members, functional organizations, partners and customers to develop specifications for learning content. Learning content is created in one source format and used in multiple delivery methods self-paced, Instructor led and virtual Instructor led. All design and development project work is completed following Agile development process.

  • Designs, authors or edits complex curriculum for a variety of audiences including employees, end-user customers, partners, resellers, distributors or systems integrators.

  • Helps establish and assure adherence to schedules, work plans and performance requirements

  • Partners with the business and subject matter experts to assess and customize training based on current and future needs of the business units

  • collectively determines & develops approach to solutions, in a team environment

  • Works on assignments under minimal supervision

Essential Requirements

  • Must have curriculum design/development skills and experience

  • Experience with Articulate 360, Camtasia, Xyleme preferred

  • Must have technical background with real-world experience

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and/or tasks

  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn new technologies

  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Requirements

  • VMware certifications or comparable experience a plus

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum

  • Experience facilitating in a professional environment a plus

  • Demonstrates strong coaching skills, process skills and consulting skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable metrics and how to measure and report on them

  • Typically requires 5+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3+ years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent experience
