The IT Business Operations Data Analyst is responsible for providing the required capabilities of turning data into actionable insights and applying science to data in order to predict and model future outcomes. Data Intelligence Engineers develop fundamentally new approaches to how our business generates meaning from data. They develop new methodologies, processes, tools, and data governance structures to enable effective analysis and advanced modeling and statistical analysis against data sets. They also have responsibility for creating specifications for analysis, reports, and dashboards based on business need and recommending strategic/tactical plans. In addition, Data Intelligence engineers analyze complex business problems and issues using data to provide findings and insights to decision makers in support of new business models. This job function includes the following disciplines: Data analysis & science, data architecture and solutions engineering, visual design and analytics enablement and internal IT consulting.

  • Data intelligence & analytics knowledge, demonstrated use and application of principles, concepts and theories

  • Ability to deliver solutions to a variety of problems of varied scope & complexity – ideally in a high growth environment with a technical aptitude

  • Work and collaborate with other members of the Data Intelligence teams to develop tools and services

  • Experience with data visual design and ETL tools

  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving skills, ability to apply new tools & applications

  • Ability to work in a team environment and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of tools and database concepts used for data intelligence and analytic with proficiency of MS SQL, data warehousing platforms, Tableau, and other dashboard/visualization tool sets.

  • Data Visualization (using Tableau is preferred) and hands on experience with BI Tools

  • Presentation skills Extracting meaning from data and create dashboards

  • Present and communicate the data insights/findings to team to solve complex data problems

Critical Hiring Criteria / Skills:

  • 2-4 years of professional experience in a technical environment

  • Possesses operational command of the business and can recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies

  • Ability to apply cohesive frameworks, and available industry standard techniques to develop an integrated model of the business

  • Ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected information and documentation obtained through data collection processes and determine their relevance to strategic business issues

  • Experience collecting and documenting business requirements using both traditional and/or agile approaches

  • Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques

  • Must adhere to data governance standards of the company

  • Experience in working with technology teams to plan and deploy technology solutions

  • Ability to influence others to achieve results at all levels of an organization.

  • Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities.

  • Development experience is a plus

  • Experience with SAP and networking concepts highly preferred

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or Engineering preferred
