What you’ll achieve
As a Product Line Manager, you will work with lead multiple product teams and their strategy to deliver on shared outcomes of delivering best in class customer experience. You will partner with various stakeholders to bring alignment towards shared vision. You will conduct in-depth market analysis to optimize existing products/solutions and build next generation products, partnering closely with the Engineering, Design and Product Management teams to build a product road map and align product strategies for the business.

Single point of accountability for a product line
Leads strategy & execution across product line by prioritizing run, growth, & enterprise level problems
Execution of a logical grouping of multiple, related products that deliver a cohesive business and/or user capability
Identifies new product opportunities
Leverages customer feedback, production data, & business need to drive an outcome-based product roadmap across the product line
Works with Engineering Managers to ensure product teams are optimized to meet customer & business needs
Responsible for hiring & management of product managers; and building a community of practice around product management
Communicates and translates Dell vision/strategy to the product teams
Responsible for executing functional & business goals, including budgetary goals & objectives
Responsible for career development/planning, performance and pay discussions of team members

Strong technical skills related to design, test and quality
Has strong collaboration, presentation, and consulting skills working with product teams to develop strategies to meet business goals
Knowledge of functional area and customer needs
Advanced understanding of product model methodologies such as Lean, User Centered Design, and Extreme Programming
8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
2+ years managerial/leadership experience
