Senior Advisor, Inventory Management

Our Inventory Management team within Materials and Procurement takes charge of the security and accountability of our inventory by documenting transactions, verifying processes and procedures and reviewing systems. We conduct physical inventories and lead cycle counts, correcting discrepancies where possible. We also audit incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure quality and accuracy. Role

Manage and influence stakeholders to drive optimal levels of Finished goods inventory (FGI). Represent the team and act as a key advisor in the digital transformation space. Partner with several functions across the supply chain such as Planning, Global Production Planning (GPP), Manufacturing, Center of Competence (CoC), Finance and Data Analytics and Automation (DAA) to ensure operational and transformation excellence.

Responsibilities

Manage DAO FGI reporting for BTS Build-To-Stock and BTP Build-To-Plan model, providing inventory and DSI outlooks (IDC and EOQ) for Planning, GPP, COC and Finance

Govern and maintain Continuity of Supply (COS) across Smart Selection supply chain while managing stock outs and aged inventory across all LOBs and segments through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review

Support the inventory system-of-record transformational efforts which are currently ongoing

Liaise with internal team members and stakeholders from GPP, Replenishment planners and Data Analytics and Automation (DAA) team to work on the digital transformation initiatives for Dell's Finished Goods Inventory

Essential Requirements

8 +years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Operations or Inventory management with a Bachelor’s degree.

Effective t communication & interpersonal skill; experience developing and delivering executive level presentations.

Program management skills with experience in leading system enablement projects.

MS (Excel, Power Point, Power Bi, SQL, Access), Tableau other.

Analytical skills with ability to perform data assessments to large datasets.

Desirable Requirements

Knowledge of inventory movement and financial acumen.

Knowledge of Dell’s product lifecycle management process and transition process is beneficial.

PMP Certification
