What you’ll achieve

As a 5G Senior Manager, you will be a key member of a brand new, built from the ground up Private 5G Federated Core Network project. The team will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a technology new to Dell for addressing the demands of the Enterprise 5G Radio system and to help our customers to exploit this significant market evolution. The candidate for this role will have significant work experience managing and technically leading software development teams leading to product delivery. This is a once in a career opportunity.

You will:

  • Direct, lead and manage mostly a software development team of an open-source, Private 5G Federated Core Network from customer requirements to delivery.

  • Ensure team meets project requirements for schedule and quality

  • Coordinate all third-party deliverables that contribute to the overall product

  • Manage a multi-site development team

  • Create and execute of any required development processes

  • Report status to stakeholders

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven record of successfully running software development programs for wireless products, preferably 5G, and delivering product to market

  • Organized, goal-oriented, self-starter, with a team focused mentality

  • Excellent communication and motivation skills

Desirable Requirements:

  • Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in RF/ microwave systems and digital communications

  • 5G research experience desirable, academia or industry

  • 12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
