Data Center High-Performance Compute Technical Sales Consultant

The Dell Technologies Data Center High-Performance Compute and Workload Technical Sales Consultant is a quota-carrying Technical Sales resource focused on driving revenue & margin of Dell Data Center workloads and HPC Solutions.

What you’ll achieve

As part of a Technology Specialist Sales team, the Data Center HPC and Workload Technical Sales Consultant possesses the knowledge of business requirements as well as an understanding of the many disciplines that make up modern HPC and Data Center architectures.

You will:

  • Supports Compute and HPC solutions in highly Complex projects, gains access and manages relationships with executive level technical staff and decision makers.

  • Focused on driving in-country/regional sales plan for the Data Center and HPC solutions portfolio.

  • Responsible for creating and the accuracy of the HPC design and Bill of Materials for each HPC solution in which you are involved

  • Will be a solutions evangelist which will include presales training, presenting to internal stakeholders, sales teams or channel partners.

  • Potential to advance Dell Data Center and HPC solutions business value, increase industry exposure through presentations and speaking engagements across key industry events, establish & foster relationship with global industry.

Essential Requirements

  • 8+ years of Data Center and HPC experience in selling/consulting Data Center and HPC solutions targeted at various market verticals.

  • Have a basic working knowledge of parallel file systems like Lustre, GPFS and ZFS and various storage solutions used in HPC systems.

  • Experience with enterprise and commercial customers and experience working with CIO/CTO level

  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate and communicate with complex matrixed teams across the region

  • Travel might be required depending on projects and customer needs.

Desirable Requirements

  • Familiarity with HPC systems hardware architecture, network interconnect technologies and topologies and be able to effectively communicate the pros and cons to a prospect.

  • Awareness of various HPC benchmarks like Linpack, Stream, SpecInt, SpecFP, PTRANS, NAMD, MM5 Weather Model etc

  • Bachelor Degree
