Sr. Advisor, Canada Tax

What you’ll achieve

This job will emphasize indirect taxes in Canada primarily GST, PST and HST but once proficiency is mastered will provide an opportunity to move into corporate taxation and planning.: As a Sr. Advisor, Canada Tax, you will be responsible for computation and filing of various Canadian indirect taxes. You will work with the Finance Teams and business teams within Canada and globally as well as interfacing regularly with the Global Tax Organization.

You will:

  • Monthly filing and remittance of Sales Tax: GST/HST, QST and PST for three Provinces

  • Monthly filing and remittance of EHF for all applicable Provinces and Territories.

  • Monthly JE and account reconciliations

  • Projects- provide requirements and participate in testing, go live data migration and reconciliations

  • DSA (GOP)

  • AP S&P tax validation

  • Ariba Cloud and Sabrix integration

  • ECO SKU to charge base model (GOP for all compliance)

  • ISG Anytime Upgrade

  • Providing guidance and answering question for AP and vendors : attending to all the questions from the DellCanadaTax@Dell.com

  • Providing guidance and answering questions from the AR/GFS team for all Sales tax related questions.

  • Attending weekly meetings (from Robert Farquharson), providing guidance and approval for all new service offerings.

  • Attending to tax audits

  • QST audit

  • Approving tax on Microsoft invoices

  • Providing answers to all adhoc questions for RFP and contracts with customers

  • KPMG Tax recovery from 2007-2021- work with KPMG team, including getting access and arranging meetings with internal teams.

  • Concur expense ITC calculations

  • SK PST audit

  • EPRA audit for EHF
