This role is for a senior professional who will identify and drive projects to reduce volume of special pricing requests, streamline processes, communicates to executives. This person will need to build a networking within several organizations such as controllership, sales, marketing, pricing to find alignments and agreements. This role requires a person that can manage good interpersonal relations, as will serve as a team lead for the rest of the team supporting the same region. The candidate should be someone with a positive attitude, and high energy while working under pressure with a full workload.
The role requires to analyze requests for special prices on client products, provide scenarios of the PnL based on different inputs, review the specifications needed by the customer, recommend the best configuration at the correct price to win the deal maximizing the profit for Dell. Work very closely with sales to understand the business cases and become a trustful finance advisor.
Analyze pricing requests for client solution deals
Support preparation of tender pricing and manage approval process via the GOAL tool
Communicate recommendations to senior management team (Sales and Finance)
Determine optimal price point, bidding techniques, products, configurations and manufacture/logistic arrangements for RFQ responses
Financial modeling resulting in the most accurate financial view of the tender response (deal P&L) including but not limited to upsells, forward costs, fx impact, penalties, scenarios etc.
Optimize T&Cs, perform risk assessment and ensure opportunities are constructed and revenue recognized in accordance with accounting policies. Flag risks and ensure non-standard terms and/or structure are recorded, approved and priced
Understand and review results of our RFQ responses (post mortem and win/loss analyses) and provide the analysis to management teams. Ensure a sound understanding of the reasons for wins and losses and monitor deals in DealWatch.
Keep excellent relations with business partners, become a trusted partner.
Drive process improvements projects, such as volume reduction, process simplification;
Mentor junior team members and serve as main POC for the Brazil region in the team.
Strong command of English and Portuguese (excellent written and oral communication skills)
8 – 10 years of working experience in Finance, Marketing or Business Operation, most preferable with experience in IT / Hardware industry
Degree in Accounting, System, Industrial Engineering or Economics
Proactive professional, with good communication skills (oral and written) in English and Portuguese
Experience of working in a fast moving, high volume environment with tight deadlines/pressure and ability to prioritize accordingly
Proven business acumen with good financial awareness
Proven persuasive and negotiation skills, tenacious
Strong analytical skills and detail oriented, at ease with numbers
Ability to work independently, flexible, adaptable to change, able to learn on the fly and be comfortable in dealing with ambiguity
Great interpersonal relations, positive attitude, teamwork skills
Excel, Access, SQL and Power BI will be a plus.
