What you’ll achieve

The Dell Design System is a fundamental part of Dell's unified customer experience. You will take part in an active, hands-on role in developing the visual design language that will bring consistency to our customer facing applications.

As a Product Designer , you will be responsible for the visual design of and development of the design language, components and patterns that are part of our design system. This may also include wireframes and visual design of communications/website related interfaces that will be leverage to education and develop our community of developers across Dell. You will work within multi-disciplinary teams to implement designs into technology frameworks, partner with developers and our internal product teams to gather requirements and conduct research to enhance the overall experience of our customers.

You will:

  • Executing experience mapping, research, UI Design/Interaction Design/Functional Design or UX Engineering to act on behavioral evidence

  • Embrace empathy-first thinking across communication, collaboration, facilitation and design practices

  • Design and contribute wireframes, layouts, interactions and components as part of the Dell Design System for popular tools(Ex. Figma, UXPin, Adobe XD)

  • Collaborate in stand-ups, retros, and working sessions. Daily pairing with engineers, POs, business partners

  • Lead workshops and brainstorming sessions

Here’s what we are looking for with this role

Essential Requirements

  • Experienced, at least 3 years, in enterprise level digital product design

  • Knowledgeable in data-driven design and human centered design

  • Experienced in working with developers and product managers

  • Experienced at defining problems and objectives through data, research, and understanding of customers, and letting those objectives inform elegant, practical solutions

  • An exemplar of excellent communication, facilitation, coordination and organization skills

Desirable Requirement

  • Background knowledge and understanding of design language systems

  • Familiar with Figma, Adobe XD, and UXPin
