Senior Technical Support Engineer

We answer questions about the installation, operation, configuration, customization and use of Dell Technologies products. For critical matters, we use our systems to provide remote diagnostic technical support. If there’s an issue with a customer’s product, we’ll analyze it, identify the cause, recommend a solution and document the problem.

What you’ll achieve

The Technical Support CCIE Engineer functions as a field-based member of the Global Services Organization to provide on-site technical, troubleshooting, consulting and escalation support for Dell Networking partners and customers in a professional manner.

You will:

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to Dell Networking customer support partners and customers on current and future Dell Networking products. Be first point of contact for entire Dell Enterprise Solution components.

  • Define, manage, and execute problem resolution plans and communicate closure/resolution to Dell support, partners, and customers.

  • Ability to use diagnostic aids, tools and appropriate lab equipment as necessary.

  • Deliver on-site consulting services such as performance monitoring and network audits and make recommendations for optimization.

  • Deliver on-site or remote services including creation of high level and detailed design documentation, customization, product integration and acceptance.

  • Acquire expert level knowledge on all Dell Networking products. • Available 24x7 on an as needed basis.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience and strong knowledge in network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VxLAN and EVPN

  • Familiarity with routing architecture such as RIB, FIB, and Interface Management

  • Experience and strong knowledge with Linux networking.

  • Proven experience in support/maintenance of enterprise hybrid cloud solution utilizing both private and multiple public services, such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud

  • Advance English

Desirable Requirements

  • Familiar or experienced with VMware vSphere environment (e.g., vCenter, ESXi hosts, etc.)
