What you’ll achieve

As a Cloud Security Consultant, you will join our internally facing, corporate Cybersecurity Consulting organization with responsibility for contributing significant experience and technical skillset into Dell’s expanding Cloud environment. You will be considered a security and technical expert in Software Defined Networking (SDN), Cloud technology, architecture, designs, systems implementation and integration and will assist in the development and communication of authoritative Cloud-focused policies, standards, guidelines and control requirements. You will be required to perform technical research when necessary to contribute to setting Cloud security direction and strategy; and you will also partner closely with teams across Dell to ensure the success of Software Defined Networking and Cloud programs and projects.

The Cybersecurity Consulting organization’s core mission is to provide Dell team members, vendors/suppliers, and customers a consistent, effective, and positive Security engagement experience.

You will

  • Participate as a key Cloud Security Consultant on various programs, projects & initiatives across Dell providing security guidance & direction while ensuring adherence to Dell’s security policies & standards

  • Define security requirements while engaging directly with stakeholders within Dell’s Business Units and the Information Technology organizations to ensure products, services and solutions are designed to adhere to those requirements across Dell’s private, hybrid and public Cloud environments

  • Support the development of Cloud solutions that meet regulatory requirements including, but not limited to EU GDPR, PCI, SOX, HIPAA, etc.

  • Assist with the development, maintenance and communication of Cloud security policies and procedures as well as ensure adherence to Dell policies & standards

  • Coordinate with security architects to provide guidance in creating and integrating secure Cloud-based designs & solutions

Essential Requirements

  • 10+ years of related Security experience, advanced understanding of Cybersecurity concepts with expertise in performing security control assessments utilizing established industry frameworks

  • Mastery of Cloud service and deployment models (e.g. CaaS, SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS) and proven experience with migrating on-premise solutions to the Cloud, knowledge of Cloud-native/Cloud-friendly security controls; experience working with Cloud access security brokers (CASBs) and other governance solutions designed to provide visibility into Cloud usage

  • Detailed technical knowledge and experience with general network security, authentication, security protocols, access control, cryptography, application security and data protection; Hands-on experience with additional security technologies such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Vulnerability Scanning, WAF, Wireless LAN, NAC, DLP, DDoS Mitigation, WAN security, SIEM, Content Filtering, Cloud Security gateways, Secure Proxies, SSL crypto solutions

  • Proven success with at least one of the following technologies: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), VMware virtualization solutions, Pivotal, Windows and Linux based platforms, etc.

  • Ability to engage at levels including executive-level stakeholders on complex matters and to effectively present complex technical topics and risks to Executives and to non-technical audiences

Desired Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Individuals with CISSP, CISM, or CCSP certifications preferred

  • Knowledge of audit standards, as well as knowledge of regulatory requirements and frameworks such as NIST 800-53, NIST Cyber, ISO 27001, ISO 27002, EU GDPR, PCI and Cyber Essentials framework helpful
