Dell Consultant, Corporate Communications, EMEA Programs in United Kingdom

The position requires a solid and strong communications competence, strong leadership skills, the ability to influence stakeholders, and strong execution capability. There will be a close working relationship with the EMEA BU Marketing leads and with colleagues in EMEA and Global Comms. It is also a critical success factor that this person can credibly interact with the regional leadership teams when appropriate.

Key areas of focus:

  • Project management of ISG and CSG communications programs for Dell Inc. across the region – incorporating fully-integrated external, internal, sales, partner, digital and executive communications (and more) into regional and by-country quarterly plans

  • Comms representative for the region’s business unit marketing leads – working with them to agree, develop and support integrated half-yearly communications plans for ISG and CSG

  • Coordination of a pan-region product reviews program for both CSG and ISG

  • Regional support on global Best Practices Sharing program

  • Effective management and briefing of the regional Hub agency

  • Regional budget operational support

  • Measurement - Using data to establish baseline coverage-goals for each of Dell's Big Themes and major priorities, by market, to achieve Share-of-Voice targets

  • Crisis Comms: supporting the regional team whenever needed, to mitigate crisis situations, counsel senior stakeholders and implement strategies to protect the reputation of the company

  • Assist in organization and execution of Global or regional ISG and CSG Comms-related events

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and executive presence skills, including a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels of a company

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to think on feet

  • Ability to synthesize, interpret technical content and summarize third-party analysis and research for cross-functional audiences

  • Self-organized, self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to achieve objectives

  • Able to operate in matrixed organizations and manage multiple projects concurrently

  • Comfortable working with remote colleagues and stakeholders; experience working across different geographies
