Channel Marketing is, quite simply, at the heart of Dell’s global success. It’s a huge and far-reaching area – planning, developing and implementing programs for distributors, resellers, international promotions and marketing. Markets the organization’s products/services through indirect channels such as Value Added Reseller (VAR), Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Distributors, Dealers, Alliances, Partners or Retail Formulates and drives channel marketing strategies and channel sales promotion campaigns.
Develops go-to-market communications strategy and tactics for channel, aligned with global guidance Creates strategies and programs that drive increased revenue and market share for channel partners Responsible for planning, research, plan insight and participation in pricing discussions and marketing strategy development Leads the creative development of communication plans, content and collateral Oversees the collection and analysis of market, customer and competitive research .
Defines and maintains channel agreements Responsible for all co-operation projects between the organization and the channel members Participates in sales forecasting Monitors/reports on Sales Out and Inventory levels, ensuring strong sell-through of Dell product Ensures Dell brand values are maintained by our Channel Partners A voice for the customer, executing with integrity Identifies segment market, competition, customer, sales requirements and uses this knowledge to adopt marketing programs, in conjunction with segment Business Managers, Marcom and BI on quarterly basis to support segment achievement of financial plan and P&L.
Owns the quarterly marketing plan and planning roadmap Analyzes strategic advantages, competitive programs and customer needs Incorporates corporate strategy and brand Works with Channel Merchandising team on development and implementation of Marcom programs Works with Online Team drive initiatives that increases ePen, including sales awareness/education and partner awareness/interest Works with Channel Planning and Procurement as appropriate for engaging vendors required for development and execution of marketing/Marcom programs Responsible for Brand Salience as the Brand Custodian Responsible for launching new brands and ensuring success Responsible for consumer activations and channel activations
Expertise/Background on Indirect sales - Understand overall corporate business plans and initiatives, programs and Channel Sales Strategy and Partner requirements and aligns Channel Marketing programs to it Defines and implements channel specific programs and manages the successful implementation of multiple programs .
Experience of working with international channel marketing management and local channel marketing management in the respective geographies .
Experience of overseeing the development, delivery and execution of channel marketing programs.
Experience of Agency engagement around creative/execution requirements and ensuring timescales are met .
- 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.Great understanding of retail industry.Good knowledge of assigned product lines.Good verbal and written communication skills.Great attention to detail.Great analytical ability.
