Dell Business Operations Senior Analyst in India

Analyzes and defines business needs and assists in developing appropriate solutions. Activities include evaluation, analysis, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper solution specifications. Formulates and defines scope and objectives based on both end-user needs and a thorough understanding of business needs and business processes. Understands the business implications of solutions, and assists in defining the solutions to support any future business requirements.

Description

We are looking for people who analyze and conduct thorough quality-control tests to ensure that software operates properly, is defect-free, and meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements. Documents and works to resolve all problems. Reports progress on problem resolution to leadership. Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Works with fellow team members to communicate helpful testing tips and efficiencies across the entire team.

Role Overview

Understand software application functions / capabilities for the core applications that are used by operations.

  • Conducts preliminary studies of alternative business solutions.

  • May be responsible for a large part of a project.

  • Good knowledge of software development lifecycle.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of quality. Take part in test scenario development. Trace testing scenarios to requirements.

  • Review scope & acceptance criteria

  • Create testing scenarios and documentation of UAT Test Scenarios using Behavioral Driven Development and preparation of Test Data requirements.

  • Ability to multi-task and test different applications relating to a release.

  • Execute test scenarios during scheduled time frames.

  • Identify and analyze testing issues / defects & Log defects in online defect management tool.

  • Provide feedback on testing processes, what works well and what could work better.

  • Communicate potential issues to appropriate audiences; interlock with various team such as IT, business partners, and/or other business organizations.

  • Document test results and adhere to test reporting standards.

  • Document training and communications material regarding new features/changes/fixes.

  • Perform post deployment validation & business operation support post each deployment (includes weekend support).

  • Maintain past test cases in library test suite.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good knowledge of software development lifecycle and defect resolution processes in particular.

  • Ability to multi-task and test different applications relating to a release.

  • Good time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

  • Problem solving and Organizational skills are a must.

  • 6-8 years of experience in testing for Order to Cash and Financial modules or working within the front-line business operations teams for Order to Cash. Experience with Oracle OMEGA OM, OMEGA AR, BRM, DOMS, DSA, Gii, GCM, DPS, Dellserv, Delta, and TFS will be a plus.

  • Thorough understanding of the Order to Cash flows- from order entry to picking to shipping to generating invoices and Financials (AR, Collections, Payments) is a plus

  • Should have exposure to test custom processes for performance and regression testing.

  • Should be able to work collaboratively with diverse teams and, when needed, work independently to work through the project initiation to go-live.

  • Detail oriented with the ability to maintain a high level of quality.

  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

  • Good knowledge of TFS, MS Project, MS Excel & MS Office highly desirable.

  • Experience with CFS (Customer Finance Services) is a huge plus.

  • Invoice / CRI process knowledge is required.
