What you’ll achieve

As a Manager on our Information Design and Development team, you will be responsible for leading a team of experienced and technically savvy content developers. You will work with engineering, testing, support, UX, and design teams on our critical and leading edge server software products.

You will:

  • Ensure delivery of high-quality customer and employee-facing technical content as a critical component of the overall product release

  • Help grow team members careers

  • Lead initiatives to define and improve quality and the customer experience

  • Develop and implement data-driven metrics for customer engagement and content effectiveness

  • Partner with Information Design and Development teammates around the world to collaborate on standards, processes, and team development initiatives

  • Represent Information Design and Development to our engineering and services stakeholders

Essential Requirements

  • 5-8 years of direct line management experience in content development with additional demonstrated project leadership/management experience.

  • Extensive experience with enterprise-level products

  • Demonstrated experience representing content development at the engineering leadership level

  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional, international teams and content developers

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow team member's careers

  • Experience with DITA, XML, and structured authoring, ideally as an implementer

  • Outstanding project management, program planning, and communications skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience documenting enterprise level systems and software

  • Experience with Git, Markdown, and equivalent content creation tools for the cloud-native environment

  • Experience authoring in DITA, specifically Tridion

  • Experience working with UX teams
