What you’ll achieve

Reporting to the EMEA Trade Compliance manger you will be part of a team that manages both import and export compliance activities across EMEA. In this role you will have the opportunity to work in a fast paced, changing regulatory environment working with internal teams such as legal, logistics and tax as well as external partners and Government agencies to support and enable growth, while maintaining an exceptional level of compliance

As a Import Compliance Senior Analyst , you will be responsible for supporting import activities in Ireland and UK but also across the EMEA region. You will help our team manage all aspects of Dell's customs processes and maintain compliance with local and regional Customs regulations. You will also support various projects to strengthen and enhance both our regional and global compliance program.

You will:

  • Support customs procedure and simplification relating to EU Import.

  • Help respond to information requests from Customs authorities, internal stakeholders and Customs Brokers.

  • Support the optimal means of processing Dell products through customs interims of both cost and efficiency.

  • Maintain operating reporting metrics.

  • Participate in various Trade and Supply chain projects.

Essential Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in Import Trade Compliance role with knowledge of key customs processes and application of EU customs and related regulations.

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of customs valuation methods, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification and country of origin determination.

  • Practical knowledge of import documentation requirements including commercial invoices, certificates of origin and Single Administrative Document (SAD).

  • Knowledge of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) and EU transit procedures, simplifications, guarantees and debt.

  • Possess strong communication skills, good problem-solving abilities and ability to work in a team environment.

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledgeable IT systems and application including Oracle, SAP, and trade compliance applications (TradeSphere, Oracle GTM, Amber Road).

  • Good product/technology/industry knowledge.

  • Presentation skills and attention to detail.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Customs & Trade.
