Principal SRE Engineer, DFS CoE Team

The DFS Release & Reliability Centre of Excellence (COE) team aims to enable this through centralizing specific functions to provide consistency and efficiency, coordinating certain DFS Digital activities and providing a single point of contact for DFS Digital into Dell Digital, supporting a high level of stability in production and providing appropriate governance, observability, monitoring, automation of our change, release and compliance processes.

What you’ll achieve
The DFS CoE is looking for a Principal SRE Engineer who will contribute to the driving governance, automation, process improvements that help in stability, reliability of our applications as we try to deliver fast.
You will be driving standardization, implementing automation, partnering with product teams to improve code quality, stability, and reliability. You will have the opportunity to set technical direction, innovate new ideas/processes and share best practices with product teams.
We need a passionate individual who can scale across roles and is flexible to work with a diverse team. Strong Collaboration, communication skills will be a good fit.
Improve reliability, quality, and availability monitoring of the assigned apps.
Develop tools to identify reliability risks, monitor application growth, and triage production issues.
Actively engage with internal teams to develop tooling, framework to drive full observability and automation of the environment.
Drive the software development process towards automation with improved reliability and stability.
Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve

Experience deploying Cloud Native systems built on Micro Services architectures utilizing Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD Tools such as Jenkins, Git, Artifactory
Experience working with Database Systems such as Postgres, Cassandra, Redis, MongoDB, SQL, OracleDesire to learn and explore new technologies and create innovative solutions
Knowledge of DevOps engineering practices, CI/CD toolsets (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube, etc.) as well as how DFS Digital has implemented these practices
Automation Experience – Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Grafana, etc.
Software Engineering Development Background – At least 10+years
Passionate about SRE, DevOps, Automation and infrastructure platforms. Must excel with agile and lean development practices, and manage multiple priorities and multiple roles.
