Senior Business Intelligence Advisor

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Business Intelligence Advisor, you will produce actionable & compelling metrics and reports based on business intelligence, data analysis, algorithms, and automated processes to inform and interact with business leaders to support decision making.

You will:

  • Works with internal and external teams to understand, interpret and analyze Cybersecurity, Product & Application Security, Physical Security, Resiliency domain data to develop and apply a broad range of techniques and theories from statistics, machine learning, and business intelligence to deliver actionable business insights to prospects and customers based on large-scale data.

  • Works under little to no supervision with internal and external teams to understand customer requirements.

  • Leads and performs end-to-end steps involved in model development, while establishing subject-matter expertise in key horizontal or vertical themes.

  • Executes preliminary data exploration, data preparation steps and variable/algorithm selection as well as model development/validation and scoring.

  • Independently develops and drives testing of algorithms efficacy for differing analytical use-cases.

  • Leads definition of project use-cases, scope definition, and ongoing interaction with customers to provide status updates and shares analytical insights.

  • Integrates medium to large structured and unstructured data sets to meet business desired metrics, reporting, and analytics requirements.

  • Provides leadership support in on-board training and mentoring junior level team members as well as cross-training with the whole team.

  • Self-motivated to deliver quality results, meaningful insights, business relevant, visually pleasing, and user-friendly products under short timelines.

  • Interprets and communicates analytical insights to customers and executives with various analytical backgrounds using different but suitable communication altitudes for different audiences.

Essential Requirements

  • Very strong knowledge of programming languages to support data analysis and predictive analytics (we primarily use Python and R), databases and SQL (we primarily use SQL Server), distributed cluster-compute framework (we primarily use Spark), SIEM solutions (we primarily use Splunk), business intelligence tools (we primarily use Power BI), and web development frameworks to support visualization of insights (e.g. React, D3, Angular, JQuery, etc.).

  • Experience using technical and statistical analysis skills to deliver clear, concise, and visually appealing management insights to inform decision making and actions.

  • Ability to continually learn new concepts and tools to support job needs and strives for ongoing professional development.

  • Proven track record to work in a team environment, lead more junior team members, and influence a diverse group of stakeholders.

  • Ability to operative effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing and shifting priorities.

  • Results driven and accountability minded.

  • Prior experience with Cybersecurity, Product Security, or Physical Security technology solutions and data sets preferred.

Desirable Requirements

  • 8+ years of related experience in Data Science or similar field with customer centric focus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to cater communication and messaging based on audience type and must be comfortable working with all levels of stakeholders.

  • Strong statistical analysis skills and technical aptitude.
