Digital Forensic Investigator

What you’ll achieve

The Digital Forensic Investigator will bea subject matter expertin digital forensic investigations.TheSenior Advisorwill participate in all stages of an investigationthroughplanning, collection, analysis, and reporting. TheSenior Advisorcompletes documentation and procedures for testing, installation, maintenance, and training of forensic software and infrastructure.

You will:

  • Lead small and medium sized investigations, coordinating tasks and resources from corporate legal, ethics, security, and IT teams

  • Manage multiple investigation requests through the entire lifecycle of Initiation, Data Collection, Analysis, and Data Production

  • Participate in designing, testing and deployment of new forensic or eDiscovery tools or solutions

  • Participate on Incident Response teams as forensic SME

  • Work with vendors for problem resolution

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and standardize process and procedures and provide continual improvement

Essential Requirements

  • Deep understanding of advanced concepts of investigations, evidence handling, and computer forensics

  • Advancedknowledge of file systems and underlying data structures

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Experience with SQL database platforms

  • Solid understanding of UNIX, Linux, and Microsoft operating systems

  • Experience with EnCase, FTK,CyFIR, or similar forensic analysis platforms

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a similarly relevant field, orsixor more years of computer forensic and incident response work experience

  • Strong skills working with a log aggregation tool or platform and solid understanding ofincident management procedures

  • One or more certifications such as the CFCE, CCE,EnCE, ACE, GCFA, or GNFA

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365

  • Experience and/or knowledge of ANAB/ASCLD Lab accreditation and procedures

  • Forensic experiencewithWindows, Linux, and Cloudplatforms
