Legal Counsel

What you’ll achieve

As a Legal Counsel at Dell Technologies, you will join a team of lawyers responsible for providing sound advice across Dell’s advisory practice areas including privacy, compliance, marketing, consumer, services and litigation across the Asia-Pacific Japan region, with a particular focus on regional employment law.

You will:

  • Provide advice and counsel to Dell’s HR teams in the Asia-Pacific Japan region

  • Review and provide advice on policies, offer letters, global employment programs, performance management and related compliance activities

  • Draft and review employment contracts, change documents, settlement documents, employment law issues in commercial contracts

  • Support global projects including employment-related M&A queries

  • Create and facilitate compliance training to HR clients on relevant legal issues

  • Support other regional practice areas such as privacy, consumer, compliance, litigation as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Common law qualified lawyer with 7+ years post qualification experience obtained in-house or within a reputable law firm

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience advising on employment law and labour issues in the Asia Pacific Japan region

  • Thorough knowledge of legal research skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience obtained in a multinational company.

  • Ability to apply critical thinking and legal analysis.

  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with all levels of management in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and

  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
