Principal Kubernetes Platform Engineer

What you’ll achieve
You will work in Cloud Platforms infrastructure team, enhance our next-gen private cloud platforms- Container as a Service (Docker, Kubernetes, others), on VMWare vSphere. Resource will have experience, working with platform engineers, in designing, building, and maintaining Kubernetes platform and guiding the application developers to build Cloud Native solutions. As a Principal Kubernetes Engineer, you are responsible for deployment and operations of Enterprise Kubernetes Platform and services in our Private Cloud infrastructure.
Create automation, employ open-source software, interact with API's, and enable CI/CD to create new cloud features, harvest/visualize metrics, monitor health/performance/capacity, etc.
Partner with product and development teams to enhance and develop new features and improve self service capability
Assist development teams to migrate applications to Docker based Kubernetes platform
Providing operational support to triage development team’s issues and keeping the Kubernetes platforms secure and stable

Total 5+ years of working experience in Linux and systems Engineering
Strong knowledge of Linux Operating systems
Experience in Kubernetes Container Orchestration, Docker Containers, Cloud building blocks - compute, storage, network, tools & automation
Experience with Cloud configuration automation (Ansible, Terraform, , etc.)
Strong soft skills required for effective communication with business decision makers, colleagues, and others
Strong scripting/programming skills (Java, python, ruby, bash, powershell, etc.), coding against APIs (REST) and manipulating structured data (JSON, XML, etc.), build and CI/CD tools (Gitlab, concourse, etc.)
Working knowledge of Windows operating systems a plus.
Salary starting from: 2 700 EUR gross monthly
