Senior Advisor, IT Telecom Engineering

What you’ll achieve

  • As part of the Voice & Database Reliability Engineering (VDRE), the candidate will be positioned in the Voice & Contact Center Services (VCCS) Voice Transport team

  • Designs, plans, and leads implementation of large and complex telecommunication systems

  • Continuous upskilling through trainings, engagement with Product Team and Dell vendors as well as participation in change releases will be part of the candidate’s learning and development journey

  • Consistently applies business knowledge in the design of telecommunication solutions

You will:

  • Work on larger and more important telecommunication projects or more than one project at a time

  • Provides advanced technical guidance regarding technology and proposed upgrades to equipment

  • Collaborate with other internal and external supporting groups on operational issues.

  • Conducts technical feasibility studies on the more complex projects and may oversee simpler studies

  • Operate & maintain high availability of systems supporting multiple products and participate in activities in support of internal requirements & objectives for new or updated applications as well as organization’s enterprise assets as part of the voice infrastructure.

Essential Requirements

Solid background/experience on Avaya systems and Telecom services, especially in below areas for implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Avaya Communication Manager

  • Avaya G650 and G450 gateways

  • Avaya System Manager

  • Avaya Session Manager

  • Avaya AES

  • Avaya CMS

  • Avaya hardphone/softphone

  • Telecom connections: ISDN PRI and SIP

  • Knowledge on Avaya PodFX platform and Oracle/Sonus SBC is preferred.

Desirable Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in IT principles and applications programming.

  • Background in managing and supporting the Voice applications and infrastructure in the Contact Center environment is strongly preferred
