IT Product Designer

The Product Designer's primary role is to advocate for users, understand user needs & goals, conduct user research, & create designs that meet user needs. A significant part of the role is communication. Product designers consistently communicate user pain points & design iterations to the Product Managers, Developers & Business stakeholders. Throughout the development process, the product designer continually tests the design & working software & iterates the design.

The Product Designer is required to: - Take a user-centered approach to design perspective & practice - Lead the product from discovery & framework through iterative development & delivery - Guide product design decisions through user research, customer development & iterative feedback - Bring in-depth knowledge & experience in research, visual design, consulting or development - Strike the balance between user goals & business goals - Be responsible for user research, wireframing, interaction design, prototyping & visual design - As a Product Designer, you'll partner closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to build and ship creative solutions and experiences.

Principal responsibilities

  • Capable of following best practices to common design problems;

  • Design and prototype scalable design solutions.

  • Able to restate business goals and frame in terms of design solution(s).

  • Able to communicate the mission, values, and work of the design team across the company.

  • Help cultivate a strong design culture within a much larger tech organization.


Empathy, Communications, Design Thinking, Leadership, Facilitation, User Research, lo and hi-fidelity mockups, prototypes, Brand awareness, Design pattern expertise.

Mastery of design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

Education and Experience

Typically requires 3+ years of related experience in a professional role with a bachelor's degree; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent experience.

Experience designing with a Design System and making your design decisions based on customer feedback and data
