Global Account Data Protection Sales Specialist

This role is a key driver in the global accounts segment by accelerating Data Protection Solutions (DPS) revenue and market share for the inbound global accounts in Asia Pacific and Japan. The level of complexity in this space requires strong domain knowledge, well rounded sales and account management skills.

General Summary

Works with APJ global accounts to provide DPS product solutions, develop new business, and to ensure satisfaction, and maintain positive ongoing relationships. Works with other internal sales personnel to propose specific solutions for a given account. Responsible for the overall sales strategies and generating results from the client. Plans and directs all DPS sales activities and selling resources.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement DPS go to market motions for APJ global accounts, collaborate with theatre leaders in APJ, and counterparts in Americas and EMEA

  • Develop relationship with C-level execs in customer organizations along with other decisions makers, influencers and partners at all levels

  • Drive and maximize inbound DPS revenue across the accounts in theatre

  • Plan and run well orchestrated sales campaigns in our marquee customer base to deliver revenue targets, customer satisfaction, and market share gains

  • Maintain detailed knowledge of Dell EMC software and hardware products, competitive products and have in-depth understanding of the specific applications running in the customer environment

Experience / Key Skills required:

  • Proven large enterprise and global account customer sales and execution experience

  • Experience selling data protection and archiving solutions a must

  • Track record of building and maintaining C-Level executive relationship

  • Strategic sales skill and experience from account planning to prioritizing initiatives to direct sales and support

  • Has the ability to think big with long term growth plans that are linked to the business and the global strategy

  • Can effectively interface at many levels with executives and senior management.

  • A high level of business acumen and experience working to bring technology solutions to solve business challenges.

  • Demonstrable competencies in large scale transformational sales projects

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with and present to executive level
