Senior Technical Content Strategist

What you’ll achieve

Contribute to planning and overall design of technical information, including installation, operation and maintenance instructions, and other types of technical content such as video scripts, blog posts, flowcharts, technical advisories, and release notes. Propose product design and process improvements, coordinate, and execute content development and user experience plans. Act as a customer advocate in UI development activities and provide verbiage based on customer workflows and use cases.

As a Technical Content Developer 4, you will be responsible for Strategizing content development, automation, and process improvement ideas. Leading content standardization efforts. Seek customer feedback and develop processes to address the same]. You will work with content developers, visual design experts, engineers, and vendors across the globe to drive strategy enabling the team to create quality documentation.

You will:

  • Exert sphere of influence cross-functionally, represent the organization on project teams, and assume technical project leadership roles while fostering collaboration within and across work groups.

  • Help to establish content strategy, content governance, and UX standards within and across work groups.Actively seek customer input and take responsibility for internal and external customer situations. Act as a customer advocate.

  • Create content plans that include user stories. Evaluate technical content against UX benchmarks and user information requirements.

  • Act as a customer advocate in UI development activities and provide verbiage based on customer workflows and use cases.

Essential Requirements

  • Technical writing skills and familiarity with technical content development, design, and UX strategies and methodologies.

  • Understanding of technical content authoring and UX workflows.

  • Knowledge of industry standards such as DITA, XML, and HTML.

  • Knowledge of job-related content authoring, publishing, and graphic design tools.

  • Ability to analyze information and draw accurate conclusions.

  • Communication skills, problem solving skills, project management skills, presentation skills, mentoring/coaching skills.

Desirable Requirements

  • UX writing and content architecture experience

  • Visual design skills including still graphics and video creation.
