The mission of the Agile Practice Leadership Enablement (APLE) team is to drive success inside our customers and partners by supporting their efforts in building world-class, customer-centric and self-sustainable product development organizations. We function as part of a cross-disciplinary team including technical account leaders, cloud-native architects, industry thought leaders and digital transformation specialists.

In this role, you will help our customers and partners build and enable the leadership teams of their in-house product development organizations. You will lead a team of Agile Practice leads in providing a hands-on enablement service to our clients and partners. You will empower your team(s) to self-organize and deliver world-class enablement services and pass on to clients and partners the skills necessary to lead a highly productive customer-driven practice. You’ll also develop strong relationships with client and partner leadership to construct and execute the vision for a sustainable inhouse product development practice. You’ll enable them with the skills necessary to promote wins and successes. You’ll work daily with the broader Pivotal Customer Success Organization (CSO) to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to client and partner relationships. You’ll work with your team onsite or at a Pivotal location and regular travel is an expectation of the role.

You’ll play a leading role in growing the APLE Practice including recruiting, onboarding and mentoring of Practice Leads. You’ll also support the Pivotal field through the positioning and selling of the APLE services. You’ll attend and speak at relevant industry events such as meetups and conferences.
Required Skills / Experiences
You are a deeply empathetic and kind leader, knowing that you are only as good as the team you lead.
You can demonstrate previous success in building and leading teams of modern-day software practitioners or consultants, who have a mastery of cloud-native engineering, XP, lean and UCD.
You are a leader with world-class written and verbal communication skills, capable of public speaking and presenting in front of customers, at user groups, etc.
You are a thought leader with an interest in contributing to the growing body of content surrounding cloud-native development, lean, UCD, intrapreneurship and enterprise software.
You’re comfortable providing organizational software recommendations and advice to senior level stakeholders within clients and partners.
You have the patience and empathy of a world-class mentor, matched with the business acumen required to help stand-up new product organizations for our clients and partners.
10 - 15+ years experience in a software leadership role and / or software consulting
Willing to travel up to 75%.
