We are looking for a Director of IT Business Strategy & Operations, IT Chief of Staff to join our team to lead, scale, and drive operational excellence across IT. You will be responsible to act as an advisor to the CIO and drive success in key areas: Strategy, Communications, Vendor Management, Finance/Budget, Business Relationships, and Talent.

  • Act as a consultant across the IT organization to understand and help accelerate progress as needed

  • Lead overall people strategy and allocation. Partner with IT leadership to update, align, and execute to plan

  • Drive internal employee communication for IT. Keep a strong pulse of the organization, drive feedback and iterate to organizational needs.

  • Work with business partners to drive the annual budget process and support ongoing management of the budget.

Your Day

You partner and work across the IT organization, and with Finance, Legal, and HR. You support strategic organizational initiatives, and help organize the IT leadership team. You like to work behind the scenes to help address ambiguity, act as a sounding board, and drive efficiency.

You are doing this by maintaining a 50,000 foot level and rolling up your sleeves into the tactics when needed. This role will report directly to the CIO.

Required Skills / Experiences

The ideal candidate has both hands-on experience and a tenured leadership foundation in the following areas: organizational change, technology implementation, vendor management, and communications & strategy execution

  • Ability to deliver candid analysis while keeping Pivotal’s values in mind

  • Proven experience at a high-growth, technology company

  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing multi-million dollar budgets

Desired Skills / Experiences

  • Proven ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple initiatives concurrently

  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal form; ability to work well with executives, technologists, and able to lead and influence across all levels of the organization

  • Passionate in building organization culture and employee engagement.

  • Salesforce, Workday, OpenAir product knowledge is a plus

  • Collaboration and productivity tools use expert
