This is a dream job for someone hungry to step up and have a broader impact, someone who is a passionate contributing technologist in the Kubernetes ecosystem, and someone who is an evangelist who can move markets. You would be responsible for crafting the public and internal narrative for Pivotal Container Service (PKS) in general, as well as the overall Kubernetes strategy, including Knative and Istio. Our story is compelling - but also complex and evolving, so telling it effectively requires someone who loves to learn, who is always observing what is happening around them and loves to talk about it to anyone who will listen.
Build compelling and creative content and campaigns to educate developers, explain to the market, inform our partners, and publicize customer successes with Pivotal Container Service (PKS) and Kubernetes.
Build compelling and creative content that helps our customers understand Pivotal Container Service, Kubernetes and ideas behind cloud-native software development and deployment includes: white papers, presentations, battlecards, blogs, videos, demos.
Build compelling and creative content that helps our sales teams explain the value proposition of Pivotal Container Services, including: competitive analysis, ROI tools, and product training. We’ve got a really high performing sales organization and we’re always trying to make them better.
Partner/customer briefings: We delivered over 100 briefings to Fortune 2000 customers in our SF offices last quarter alone! Everyone is on deck to talk to customers and you would be too.
Feedback: This is a fast moving product and a fast moving market. Feedback to PKS R&D is really welcomed.
Desired Skills & Experience:
This position requires a solid technical understanding of distributed computing, the Kubernetes ecosystem, cloud computing, and networking technologies.
5+ years of relevant professional experience, with at least 2 years in enterprise software technical marketing, product marketing, product management, pre-sales, or first-hand experience as a customer of cloud computing enterprise software.
Practical experience with Kubernetes. Experience with projects that surround Kubernetes like Prometheus, Istio, Envoy and more would be an awesome bonus! Actual contribution to these projects goes a long, long way.
You must really enjoy technology and working with and contributing to open source projects.
Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
