Presales Solution Architect

What you’ll achieve

As a Presales Solution Architect you will be responsible for driving the technical sales strategy for DELL TECHNOLOGIES’ products and services in assigned customer accounts. As a member of a field account team, the candidate must demonstrate leadership abilities across a diverse set of matrix sales teams to accelerate the adoption of DELL TECHNOLOGIES solutions and services.

The candidate must possess a general understanding of the customer’s business. In addition, demonstrate a desire to expand customer industry knowledge by rapidly assessing industry trends and impacts to the target organization. Be able to quickly identify customer’s strengths and weaknesses in their industry.

The Presales Solution Architect shows a deep understanding of DELL TECHNOLOGIES and competitive technology as well as business applications. As a trusted technology advisor for customers the candidate regularly engages with customer's senior management and IT leaders to assess major business operations and address business objectives with DELL TECHNOLOGIES solutions.

You will:

  • Work with Sales Team to develop and implement specific account penetration strategies, produce account specific solution, service, and technical sales plans

  • Develop and document DELL TECHNOLOGIES solutions to meet customer objectives. Complete required presales documentation quickly and accurately

  • Conduct customer needs analysis and anticipate requirements beyond existing solution’s scope

  • Lead the development of responses to critical customer requests and proposals and deliver impactful presentations

  • Maintain knowledge of DELL TECHNOLOGIES solutions and competition to effectively address and dispel customer objections to DELL TECHNOLOGIES solutions

Essential Requirements

  • At least 5 years of related sales and technical experience with good knowledge of Cloud operations and Multi Cloud use cases.

  • Well experienced in data center technologies including CI/HCI infrastructure, storage, server, network, DR/Business Recovery practices, production operation etc. (beneficial on Dell Technologies products). Good know how in VMware virtualization and SDDC solutions

  • Basic understanding of Dell Technologies’ competitors in the area of data center technology and cloud solutions

  • Inspirational presentation skills in front of all levels of the IT Organization and C-Level audience. Self-motivated, proactive and understands the importance of a strong sense of urgency reflected through the ability to drive customer demand within district

  • Language requirements German and English
